The BC 1706 HR with DTS is the perfect solution for all fitness-oriented cyclists. In addition to the trusted BC 1606L DTS bike and time functions the BC 1706 HR also measures heart rate. The current, maximum and average heart rate are measured as precisely as an ECG for precise training control. Both the speed and heart rate are coded and transferred to the BC by radio waves (digital and coded). All bike, time and heart rate values are easily and clearly read from the 3-line display.

CYCLING PLUS - RECOMMENDED:
We thought there'd been a price mistake with this - you get loads for your money. It packs loads of excellent functions into a small unit, with both digitally encoded wireless speed transmission and digitally encoded heart rate monitoring. It's a well made unit, simple to fit and set up, quality is first rate, and the mounting system can be turned 90° for the bar or stem mounting. The head unit twists into the mounting and the wheel sensor is a simple o-ring mounted device. There is an option of a second bike sensor, colour coded red rather than grey, so once it's programmed in you don't have to do anything when switching bikes, the head unit knows which bike you're on and sets the wheel size. On the function side, there isn't really anything missing, and the display has one of the best layouts.
